World famous comedian Gilda Radner, whom made her professional acting debut in Toronto, in the 1972 production of Godspell and then went on to join the Toronto Second City comedy troupe before becoming an original cast member of Saturday Night Live, now has her own Visa Platinum card. The new card supports the work of the Gilda’s Club cancer support group. Gilda died from ovarian cancer in 1989.
Gilda’s Club NYC earns $50 for every activated card, plus an ongoing share of the monthly charge activity. Proceeds help provide a meeting place and support activities for people living with cancer, and families and friends. The new card is issued by MO-based UMB Bank and is available in four designs. Many Gilda’s Clubs have opened throughout the U.S. and in Canada.
